Paint!

Masterpieces!
Wonderful Volunteers

Today my crew was responsible for painting, a whole lot of white. We re-coated the ceilings, sanding down the doors and smoothing out the clumpy spots on the stairs was hard work.
In the afternoon we made an art project painting doors for one of the houses. No matter how hard we tried to make the color solid you could still see the brush strokes from layers of using the tiny brushes. It wasn't until later after growing frusterations did one of our regular volunteers tell us the easier way by using rollers. Thanks Bob! After spending the last two hours to make the streaks dissapear, the rollers worked like magic and the doors were beautiful white! This isn't to say that our work before was for nothing, because a lot of care went into those doors and whoever has them in their new house will be very lucky.
