Thanksgiving was perfect with family and too much food. Now that I'm working away from the main hub of home, I'm dissapointed I don't get to see my family more. Going home for Thanksgiving made me realize this. It was nice sitting in the middle seeing everyone together in one place with my youngest cousins doing big kid things like helping set the table, no more running screaming toddlers. And my baby sister, well I can't quite say that anymore. It's strange to think how time stops for a while only to come rushing back fast forward.
Hope this helps Mummu. I'm going to try and start writing bigger so that you can read it too! Love

Smooth Edgers
It was a very short week of work and we had our first official rain today. Lucky for me and my crew since we worked inside with mudding and taping. Other crews working on the siding all had to come inside, but there was plenty of drywalling to be done. Walking outside was particularly difficult since the entire middle between houses was high in water. And walking outside from the garage was a spray of water spilling from the upper scaffolding down. After getting my shoulder soaked I opted to finally put on a rain coat. I couldn't help but feel like a general trudging through the site in my bright yellow rain slicker and hardhat. To keep people from falling into toe high puddles we set up pallets and networked chip board across the site between garages. It actually worked! Now the day Thanksgiving too!

I worked some with soffet this week as well as some outdoor an indoor site work. Wednesday I spent most of the day going back and forth for supplies from the office. It was hard to see it as work since I did spend most of the day driving a truck back and forth between the construction site. I'm also happy to say that my wonderful crew that day from Gap completed the back side of a couple week trench project.

This week we had Thanksgiving potluck at the office. I brought some of my Cranberry Stuff. It would have been nice to have an egg beater. My forearms are still a bit achey from shaking the cream until it finally whipped. But it was a lot of fun, and I'm sad there were no cranberry leftovers.

Saturdays crew was great. We spent the day cleaning out our more finished houses, from sweeping to hanging doors to more sweeping to dusting and mopping floors. It's nice to see some of the final touches starting to happen. It's still a ways off, but we even got time to hang a couple blinds.
